This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week and tomorrow is Random Acts of Kindness Day, so, what a perfect time to make someone’s day and be kind! A random act of kindness can be towards a stranger, a friend, a partner, a family member, a colleague, or a neighbour and it doesn’t matter how big or small your act is, as long as it comes from a place of kindness.

You could offer to mow your neighbour’s lawn, pay for a stranger’s coffee, bake a cake for your work colleagues, write your partner a love letter, leave a positive and motivational note on someone’s window, compliment a stranger, give a homeless person a bag of food and essentials, send flowers to a friend or give way to someone when you’re driving.

Not only will you feel good about yourself and give good energy out into the world but you will be making someone else smile and possibly make their day. When we are selfless and give without any expectation or need to be repaid for our efforts, then it makes us more loving and open to the world.

We never know what other people are struggling with in their lives or dealing with mentally and emotionally, so, even the smallest act of kindness can help them to see the world in a more positive light and get them through the day.
