yes

It’s time to start finding new opportunities in your life by saying yes to invitations that come your way. You never know where saying yes will lead you and what new prospects will appear in your life.

We’ve all been there… you’re feeling tired or stressed out from work and your friend asks you to go to the pub for a drink after work or to the opening of a new gallery. They guilt you into going even though you just want to curl up in bed and forget about the world. Then you go and have the best night ever, meet loads of interesting people, and leave with an unexpected spring in your step.

This is what happens when you push yourself and open yourself up to life; even if you’re feeling down and sorry for yourself.

It’s so easy for our first response to things is to say no; “I’m too busy”, “I’m too tired”, “I don’t have enough money”, “I won’t know anyone”, “What if I don’t like it?” etc.

Making excuses and saying no to people and life is subconsciously draining the life out of you; you need to start living life and embracing every and any opportunity that comes your way because you never know where it will lead you.

Challenge yourself to say “yes” to everything (within reason; you don’t need to do drugs, date your stalker, or give someone £1000!) for a day and see what amazing things come your way and what you will learn about yourself.

I find it’s best not to tell anyone about your challenge because people can take advantage and ask you to do things they wouldn’t normally ask you to do.

Saying yes for a day is a great way to learn about yourself, to reflect on how you’ve been living life in your comfort zone, and to open yourself up to new and exciting possibilities.

Here are just a few reasons why saying yes for a day will change your outlook on life…

It Will Open You Up to New Possibilities

Saying yes to every opportunity that comes your way; will open you up to new experiences and opportunities that you would normally miss out on because of your old limiting beliefs and habits of always saying no to things.

When you say yes to things you are opening yourself to new possibilities and to trying new things that you would never normally do.

You never know what you’ll discover if you start embracing life and saying yes; you may find a new hobby, or passion, make new friends, meet your soul mate, find a new business idea, improve your relationships, etc.

Saying yes to things makes life more interesting; say yes to that party invitation, go to that wedding even though you don’t know any of the other guests, buy that spare gig ticket that your friend is selling, sign yourself up for your work’s charity mountain climb, etc.

Stop living a mundane and comfortable life and push yourself to try everything that comes your way; you never know where it will lead you.

It Will Stop You Limiting Yourself

If you constantly say no to people and situations that come your way; you are limiting yourself and closing yourself off from life.

Opportunities come our way to help us to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves and if you say no then you are stopping yourself from trying new things and blocking new opportunities from your life.

Why are you holding yourself back? What do you have to lose?

If you always do the same things; then you’ll always get the same results and you’ll never grow and live your life to its full potential.

Saying yes to things will help you to become more positive and open to change; stop limiting yourself and start pushing yourself to enjoy and embrace life.

If you say yes to opportunities that come your way; 9/10 you’ll enjoy yourself once you’re there and you never know what new connections you’ll make and where they can lead to.

You Will Be More Open-Minded and Fun

Saying yes to people and situations that come your way will help you to become more open-minded, spontaneous, and fun.

Life is about living and enjoying yourself; saying yes to everything that comes your way will help you to become more adventurous. You will also become happier because you’ll be embracing life and all that it throws at you.

It Will Help You to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Life can be pretty mundane if you let it. So many people get up, go to work, and then come home. They then try and switch off from work cabbage out in front of the TV, go to bed, and then get up and do it all again the next day.

If you say no to things that come your way because you’re too tired, stressed, or depressed from your life then nothing will ever change. You’ll just be stuck in the same boring rut with the same outcomes.

Saying yes to things even if you’re not in the mood; will help you get out of your routine and the same boring rut you’ve been stuck in.

Getting out of your comfort zone will help you to push yourself and can lead to great things.

It Will Improve Your Relationships

If you constantly say no to your partner, family, or friends when they ask you to do something or go somewhere with them then eventually people will stop asking you to do things and you’ll miss out on opportunities.

The relationships that we have in life are fundamental for our happiness and saying yes to the people you care about will help them to feel loved and appreciated.

Say yes to going to that family dinner, helping your grandparents with their shopping, going to the baby shower, etc. It will help you to become kinder and strengthen your relationships because you will be showing the people in your life that you value them and care for them.

If you constantly say no to hanging out with your partner’s family or friends, watching a football match, eating at his favourite restaurant, or watching the films he enjoys; then your partner will begin to feel resentful, unhappy, and unimportant to you which can cause cracks in your relationship.

Make a conscious effort to say yes and watch how all your relationships strengthen and transform; you will make yourself and others happy by being more approachable, supportive, open-minded, and fun.

Challenge yourself to start saying yes to things that you would normally avoid and watch your life change for the better.

You will become happier, more confident, and fulfilled because you’ll be embracing life and all that it throws at you.

Saying yes to helping your friends, partner or family is also massively rewarding and will strengthen all of your relationships.

Summary

Once you start living your life without limitations and holding yourself back; you will become more confident in yourself and your abilities because you’ll be out of your comfort zone and learning more about yourself and life than ever before.

You don’t have anything to lose by saying yes to opportunities that come your way in life; change your mindset to say yes to things and ask yourself what could you gain from saying yes.

You never know where life will lead you and every opportunity comes your way for a reason; start seeing every situation as a possibility to learn and grow and start saying yes to life.
