The thought that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be in your life is a tough one to grasp sometimes. It can be hard to believe when you’re going through a hard time in your life right now and feel like the world is against you.

You might feel like you’re behind in life and nothing is going your way when you see people with the life that you dream of. You see them with fulfilled goals, amazing relationships, envious careers, great bodies, and going on fancy holidays several times a year. Naturally, you think “Why isn’t this me? What’s wrong with me? Why does everything go wrong for me? When is it my turn? Will I ever live the life I truly want?”.

The truth is, that there are no time frames in life and everyone’s journey is different. Furthermore, everything happens for a reason and is leading you to where you’re supposed to be and at the exact time you’re meant to get there. However, this can feel disheartening and disappointing if you’ve just lost the person you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with, the job you love, all your money, etc. Consequently, you lose all faith in the world and think that you’re cursed to live a life that you don’t love forever. Additionally, you believe that you’ll never settle down, reach your goals, have an abundance of money, or have a fulfilling life.

Unfortunately, you have to go through the struggles and hard times in life to come out stronger. They enable you to learn the lessons you need to learn, to have the life you want. Tough times help you to become the person you’ve always envisioned.

What is Meant for You Won’t Pass You By

Nothing that’s meant for you will pass you by. Therefore, if you’ve lost something, then it wasn’t meant to be. You are being guided through your life and all roads lead you to the right track for you eventually. Trust in the timing of your life and the universe. Don’t be impatient and question the why. Trust the process and keep moving forward.

Keep remembering, if you’ve lost something, then it wasn’t meant for you and you’re now one step closer to finding what you truly deserve. This situation will open doors to bigger and better things, even if you can’t see that now and it feels like the end of the world.

In 5 years, you’ll realise why you had to go through what you’re going through now and you’ll be grateful that everything unfolded exactly as it did. You are worthy, you are good enough and you will get to where you want to be in time. All the heartache and bumps along the road will make it even better when you finally reach your destination.

It might hurt now, and I’m not saying it will be easy, but you will become more clear-minded, stronger, smarter, and more self-aware. You will know your worth and what you genuinely want for the future, how you want to be treated and you won’t settle for less than you deserve.

Sometimes losing what we thought we wanted is the greatest blessing in disguise. In time you will see why you had to let it go to reach your full potential in life.

Life is full of ups and downs and it would be boring if you just got handed everything you wanted, without having to work for it or go through the growth to truly value and appreciate it.

Focus on things that make you feel happy and that are good for you. It could be meditation, time with friends, journaling, reading, time in nature, exercising, projects, business ideas, hobbies, etc.

Start focusing on yourself and accept the fact that you are exactly where you need to be. This will enable you to focus on the good things in your life and what you currently have. It will free your mind to notice new opportunities that come your way.

Opportunities always present themselves to you when you are open to receiving them. You could come up with a new business idea, see an advert for a new and exciting job opportunity, meet someone who changes your life, etc. Stop being afraid of change, get out of your comfort zone, and try new things. Go to that yoga class you’ve always wanted to try, start writing that novel you’ve been putting off, start brainstorming your online business, etc.

Use this time to do the things that you’ve always wanted to try. When you open yourself up to new opportunities you will get new and better results. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, then you will get what you’ve always got. Use this time to push yourself out of your comfort zone and create the life you’ve always envisioned for yourself.

You Are Exactly Where You’re Meant to Be

You are exactly where you’re meant to be in life and changing your mindset to a one of gratitude will help you to rebuild yourself and your life. Start finding gratitude and happiness in yourself and your life as it is now and don’t give up on your dreams and goals.

It can be hard to trust that you are exactly where you’re meant to be in your life when you’ve just lost something you loved and that brought you joy.

Using these journal prompts will help you to become more positive about the situation. They will enable you to trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it should be in your life. Ask yourself…

  1. When did I lose something or not get something that I wanted but it worked out better in the long run?
  2. What am I grateful for today?
  3. How will this situation help me grow as a person?
  4. What is this situation teaching me?
  5. In what ways was this situation/person not in alignment with what I truly want from my life?

Whenever you are feeling unaligned in your life or feeling hopeless about a situation, repeat these journaling prompts. The answers will help you to get clarity on your life and where you are going. There are always positives to come out of any negative situation. It’s important to trust the timing of your life and remember that you are exactly where you’re meant to be.

Summary

Life can be challenging sometimes and it can be hard to see the reasoning for certain events in our lives. However, you are always where you need to be in your life and everything truly does happen for a reason.

Therefore, stop feeling like a failure or that you’re not good enough if something doesn’t go to plan. Remember, you only lose the things that aren’t meant for you and you will get to where you need to be in the end.

It’s time to start focusing on yourself and to stop comparing yourself and your life to others. You are unique and your journey is unfolding exactly as it should be.

There’s no point beating yourself up about losing someone, being fired, etc. If you can’t change the situation, you need to move on with your life and start from where you are today. Use this time as a fresh start and work towards where you want to be tomorrow. Take it a day at a time and keep pushing forward no matter how much it hurts right now. You will become a bit stronger every day and the pain will slowly fade away in time.

Embrace everything that happens to you, the highs and the lows. They will help you to genuinely appreciate the good things that life has to offer. You can get through anything in life and you are always exactly where you’re meant to be.
