You can’t control what thoughts pop into your head. However, you can control what thoughts you choose to focus on, act on, and believe. You can replace any negative thoughts you have with positive ones with a bit of effort and persistence. Ultimately, you decide what thoughts you believe, and they create and shape the outcome of your life.

You choose what thoughts you believe about yourself, your life, and the world around you. Ultimately, you have the power to change your self-image and how you see yourself. You can do this by controlling what thoughts you focus your energy on.

Whenever a negative thought arises you can challenge those negative thoughts and ask yourself why you think that way. You can then create new positive thoughts you can tell yourself when these thoughts arise again.

To live a happy, fulfilled, and healthy life, you need to change your thoughts into positive ones. Choose what thoughts you want to believe about yourself. When you change your mindset to be more positive you will attract more positive outcomes into existence. 

Remember, you get to determine the outcome of your day through your mindset. This will in turn determine your weeks, months, and years, and ultimately your life.

You have more power than you may think. Therefore, making small positive changes to your outlook and how you talk to yourself will have a massive impact on your life.

You get to choose what thoughts you believe. So, choose differently and stop putting yourself down all the time. Challenge your thoughts of feeling unworthy or undeserving. You are more than capable and good enough and you can have anything you desire.

How to Change Your Mindset

Here are a few ways that you can start filtering your thoughts and have a more positive mindset…

  • Practice positive affirmations
  • Whenever a negative thought comes up ask yourself “What new belief do I want to replace this with?”
  • Use journaling prompts to get to the root cause of your negative thinking
  • Practice positive guided meditations
  • Challenge yourself to not say anything negative about yourself for a week
  • Make a list of new positive beliefs about yourself and read them every morning
  • Allow yourself to accept compliments from others and not put yourself down

It’s impossible to think positively all the time and you will always have negative thoughts pop up throughout your day. However, you have the choice to acknowledge them and then choose to let them go and focus on something more positive.
