An amazing technique to get out of your head, back to the present moment, and to appreciate yourself and your life as it is now is to have mood shifters.

A mood shifter is something that makes you happy, laugh, or smile. Moreover, it instantly makes you feel energised and uplifted. It could be anything, and it is personal to you. Therefore, whenever you’re feeling down, stressed, or overwhelmed, you simply need to close your eyes for a second and vividly imagine that thing that makes you feel incredibly happy. You will see a massive shift in your mood and mindset because mood shifters shift your energy and thoughts to positivity and happiness.

Think about a happy memory, something that makes you laugh, a special person in your life, your pet, or nature. Or, you could even envision your future life and how that’s going to make you feel.

You need to really focus on the positive feelings this image creates and block out any other thoughts in your head. You’ll instantly feel better about your current situation because you’ve focused on the good in your life instead of the bad.

Create several mood shifters for yourself that you can use when any negative situation comes into your life. This will help you to get out of the present moment and your stresses. Furthermore, it will focus your energy to be more positive and help you to remember what’s important in your life and where you should focus your energy. Moreover, it’s a really powerful way of controlling your thoughts and changing your emotional state quickly.

To live a happy, positive, and fulfilled life, you need to be mindful of your emotions throughout your day. Therefore, catch yourself when you’re feeling stressed, low, or lethargic and think of your mood shifter instead.
