Can you imagine the feeling and disappointment you would feel in yourself for never reaching your full potential or goals in life? I think that hell on earth would be meeting the person you could have been if you’d stuck to your goals and worked for what you wanted in life.
Imagine meeting yourself in the future, and you never got what you wanted from your life. Either because you were too scared, unmotivated, or comfortable doing anything about reaching your dreams. It would be soul-destroying to wake up one day when it’s too late, with a head full of regrets and feeling like you wasted your one shot at life.
We always feel like we have unlimited time in our lives and take things for granted because we forget how precious and short our lives actually are. Therefore, you need to stop living in the past, in fear or playing small in your life. Remember, you don’t want to wake up one day and have regrets. So, let the pain of never achieving the things you want act as fuel to push you towards working on your dreams and what you want from your life.
There’s nothing worse than wasting time doing/being something or someone you don’t want to be. Therefore, start doing everything you want while you still can and stop letting other people’s opinions hold you back from becoming the best you that you can be.
You need to remember the feeling you would have if it were too late to pursue your dreams. Think about when you’re old and you meet who you could have been, what you could have had, and what you could have achieved.
Stop holding yourself back in life and making excuses for why you aren’t living to your full potential.
Reaching Your Full Potential: Ask Yourself…
- Why am I not living the life that I want to live now?
- What am I waiting for?
- What is holding me back?
- How would I feel if I never reached my full potential?
- What would I do if I knew the answer would be yes?
- What would I feel if I knew I could have been/done more with my life?
- Do I want to wake up one day when it’s too late and regret the choices and inaction I made in my life?
- What have I got to lose if I pursue my dreams?
- Why am I living in fear?
- Why do I care about what other people think of me and my dreams?
- How would I live if I knew I didn’t have as much time to live as I thought?
- What can I do today to help me get closer to my dream life?
- Which new habits am I going to start to help me reach my goals?
- What limiting beliefs do I need to let go of to be the best version of myself?
- How can I create more time in my day to work on my goals?
