Bang Bang Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
Crispy Chicken
- 2 Chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tbsp Cornflour
- 1/2 tsp Garlic granules
- 1 Egg
- 150g Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
Sauce
- 120ml Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1/2 tsp Garlic granules
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Red pepper (thinly sliced)
- 4 Spring onions (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 1/2 tbsp Chilli flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 200℃. Add the cornflour to a bowl and add the garlic granules. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix until combined. In another bowl, add the egg and whisk. In a third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs, paprika and chilli powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix until combined.
- Cover each piece of chicken in the cornflour, then dip into the egg until fully coated. Then, toss in the panko breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Place the chicken in your air fryer and cook for around 15 minutes until golden, crispy and brown (toss halfway through cooking).
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by adding the mayonnaise, chilli sauce, sriracha, honey and garlic granules to a bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Next, add the olive oil to a large pan or wok and heat to medium-high. Add the red peppers and cook for 3-4 minutes until starting to soften. Add the cooked chicken from the air fryer and the bang bang sauce, and cook for a further minute.
- Sprinkle with the spring onions, sesame seeds and chilli flakes. Serve with rice and enjoy.
