If you’re feeling fed up, stuck, unmotivated, or unworthy of what you want, it’s vital to remember that you can choose differently and achieve anything you want to in your life.

You have the power to change your thoughts, habits, and actions. Therefore, changing the outcome of your life, no matter how “bad” your current reality is.

Everything in your life is simply a choice and you can choose to change your actions and the course of your life. Whenever you find yourself acting how you’ve always acted or in a negative way that you want to change, all you have to do is simply choose differently. Ask yourself, “How can I change my behaviour to create a more positive outcome in this situation?”.

It’s time to stop playing the victim, blaming your circumstances or your personality traits for why you’re not creating positive change in your life. These are excuses and anyone can choose differently and transform themselves and their lives.

We have the power to create any reality into existence. You just need to choose and act differently from how you’ve behaved in the past. If you continually do what you’ve always done, then you’ll get what you’ve always got. To change you need to choose differently and that is simply a choice. It’s not hard to act the way you want to deep down.

Begin acting more positively and be more conscious of the impact that everyday decisions can make on the outcome of your life. Soon it will become a habit over time to react more positively and it will be easier to be that way than your past self who plays small and isn’t kind to themselves.

How to Choose Differently

It’s time to stop treating yourself badly or thinking negatively about yourself. Remember, you are good enough and you can be who you want to be. All you need to do is make small different decisions every day and it will all add up. You will get to where you want to be and be who you want to be.

You can choose differently for any area of your life and you can create the life you’ve always envisioned for yourself.

Additionally, you can change your mentality by changing your thoughts to be more positive. Furthermore, you can question negative thoughts and beliefs that enter your head and replace them with new positive beliefs.  Stop negative self-talk, practice positive daily affirmations, and don’t say anything negative for a day, etc.

To choose differently regarding your health you can stop pressing the snooze button, push yourself to go on a workout, get outside for a walk in nature, sign up for a new fitness class, stop eating when you’re full, or not have any snacks for a day, etc.

If you want to improve your relationships you could choose to take a step back before reacting in an argument, remove toxic and negative people from your circle, spend quality time with your partner without phones or television, decide to stop taking extra work home, and focus on your family, etc.

Here are a few things to ask yourself when you want to choose differently in your life…

  1. How would my future self act in this situation?
  2. What can I do differently today to help me to get closer to my goals?
  3. Is what I want to do in alignment with what I truly want?
  4. Is the way I’m acting who I want to be?
  5. How can I react more positively in this situation?
  6. What negative habits do I want to let go of?
  7. What positive habits can I replace these with?
  8. Is what am I about to do going to get me closer or further away from my goals?
  9. Will this make me feel good?
  10. How do I want my life to look and what can I change today to help me get there quicker?

Use these journal prompts whenever you are faced with new challenges or obstacles in your life. Ultimately, they will help you to make more informed choices that will help you to get closer to fulfilling your goals.

To create the life of your dreams you need to become more aware and conscious of your everyday actions, thoughts, and habits because they are what create your current reality.

You can choose to act differently in every situation that comes your way and you can have anything you want and become who you want to be. Ultimately, anything is possible for you and you hold all the power in your life.

Remember, the only person who ever holds you back and stops you from reaching all your goals is yourself. Therefore, you can choose to be the best version of yourself every day, it’s simply a choice.
