Too many people go through their lives restricting themselves because of their own limiting beliefs and actions. It’s easier to stay in the familiar, rather than pushing themselves to get out of their comfort zone. They have an emotional handbrake that they leave on and then wonder why they’re not getting anywhere fast with their lives. Instead of releasing the brake and moving forward, we let our limiting beliefs hold us back. Whilst we try and power through and create change but wonder why we aren’t making any progress in our lives.

You need to learn to let go of your comfort zone and limiting beliefs if you want to create real change in your life. This will enable you to create the life that you’ve always envisioned for yourself. Releasing the breaks and your past negative emotions will help propel you forward in your life. You’ll be able to start being successful in changing your mindset and your outcomes.

You Are the Only Thing That’s Holding You Back

We are only confined by the limitations and restraints that we have created in our minds. It may be because of past failures or things that you learned as a child. These habits and limiting beliefs keep you in your comfort zone and prevent you from living your best life possible.

The baby elephant analogy will enable you to see how you’re the only person that’s holding you back and keeping you in your comfort zone. In this analogy, a baby elephant is tied to a small post with a rope wrapped around its leg. The baby elephant will try to break free of the rope at first but it isn’t strong enough and fails to escape. As the elephant grows in size and strength, it could easily break free of the rope. However, it doesn’t try to set itself free at this point. This is because it has learned from a young age that it can’t be free of the rope or move any further than where it’s confined.

Similarly, we may have learned from the past that we can’t do something because we failed. We believe that is is too hard to achieve and we stop trying. Therefore, we stay in our comfort zones because of our own limiting beliefs. We believe that we are not strong or capable enough to be free of our restrictions. It prevents us from trying because we have learned that it’s not possible to break out of this reality. Therefore, we stay stuck in a comfort zone of our own making in our minds.

If we truly wanted to break free and move forward with our lives, nothing could hold us back. However, deep down we are afraid to leave our comfort zones. They are all we have known and they are comforting and familiar to us.

Change Your Behaviour and Limiting Beliefs

To break free of your comfort zone and live the life of your dreams, you need to change your behaviour and limiting beliefs. This will enable you to achieve everything that you’ve always wanted in your life.

You need to stop living the same day over and over again and expect your life to change magically on its own. To break free of your comfort zone, you need to change your thoughts, actions, and behaviour, to change the outcome of your life.

Changing your behaviour and how you view yourself will help you to break free and start seeing real change in your life. You just need to believe in yourself and change some of your daily habits and you will begin to see big changes in your life. Small actions and habit changes, add up to real change over time.

To change your behaviour and limiting beliefs you need to start pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and into unknown territory. Start thinking about what kind of life you want to create for yourself, instead of staying in your comfort zone. You need to release negative thinking that you’re not worthy or good enough to have everything you want in life.

Push yourself out of your comfort zone and set a goal so big that you’d be astounded if you got it. Start visualising yourself living your dream life every day. Use positive affirmations and teach yourself how it would feel to reach your goal.

See yourself having everything you want in life. Then, keep telling yourself that it’s already yours and how grateful you are that you’re living your best life. We reinforce our own beliefs, so, if you tell yourself limiting thoughts that you can’t do something, then you won’t be able to. Start focusing your thoughts and energy on creating the life you truly want. Ensure that you believe you can have this reality with all of your heart and you will inevitably get there. You can have everything you want in life, you just need to believe it first.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

You attract what you put out into the world. So, if you’re living the same mundane life daily and not pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, then you’re going to remain there forever.

You’ll be stuck eating the same food, going to the same places and seeing the same people. You will remain working at the same job, drinking at the same bar, and watching the same things.

If you never push yourself out of your comfort zone, then you’ll continually experience the same scenarios and patterns of behaviour. You’ll attract similar outcomes and people into your life that don’t push you to grow. You need to change your mindset to be free of your comfort zone once and for all.

If you’ve always made around the same amount of money and see certain things as being too expensive or out of your reach. Then, you’re going to stay in this same salary zone because you don’t believe that you can afford more expensive things.

That’s why if some people suddenly come into a lot of money they end up losing it. They don’t feel comfortable or used to having it. Deep down they don’t feel like they deserve it or are capable of handling that amount of money. Therefore, they blow it all because they don’t have that higher income mindset. It’s out of their comfort zone and they don’t know how to act like a person who has a lot of money. It is too far out of the comfort zone they’ve created for themselves. Therefore, it feels foreign and uncomfortable to them.

You need to change your mindset to a person who is capable of achieving greatness and being able to afford whatever you want in life to attract it into your reality. Tell yourself that you can afford to buy those more expensive shoes or bags. If you don’t change your thoughts and behaviours you’re always going to feel unworthy or incapable of reaching your goals.

Furthermore, start believing in all of your goals and dreams in your life. You can achieve anything if you push yourself out of your comfort zone and don’t give up. You just need to change your mindset to being capable of anything. Start working on your mindset and confidence daily and push yourself a little more each day out of your comfort zone.

Summary

Get out of your comfort zone and start pushing yourself and believing in yourself. Your comfort zone is just a habit of doing the same things. When you read the same things, hang around the same people, eat the same foods and wear the same clothes. It’s ultimately your habits that keep you feeling comfortable and safe. Change is scary to a lot of people but that is where all the magic and growth happens in your life.

Start challenging yourself to try new things in your life. Tell yourself and your mind that you deserve more and you are capable of more. You cannot achieve anything until you truly believe it. So, start pushing your limits and stop being reverted back to old behaviours.

Change may feel uncomfortable at first and it is perfectly normal to fear the unknown. However, you need to remember that its just your brain trying to keep you safe from real threats. Your brain wants to keep you safe and secure. However, all the growth in life happens when you push yourself into the unknown. You can challenge your old limiting beliefs that are trying to hold you back and break free of your comfort zone where you feel safe but unfulfilled.

To have everything that you want in life, you must first believe you can get there and are deserving. Start visualising yourself as having everything you want and envision how that will feel. You can use meditation, journaling, positive affirmations and visualisation to attract the life you’ve always dreamed of into your reality.

Let go of your past failures and thinking you’re not good enough. Failure is inevitable in life but you can use these experiences as learning and growth. Break free of the psychological rope and post that you’re tethered to. Start reaching your full potential, free of limits and the comfort zone that’s been holding you back in life. Remember, that you can do anything you set your mind and who knows what amazing things will be on the other side of your comfort zone!
