Make it Vegan
Simply substitute the Nutella for your favourite vegan friendly chocolate spread and vegan butter for the baguette.
Substitute the chocolate orange and Crunchie for flavoured vegan chocolate (Galaxy vegan caramel and sea salt works well with the banana bruschetta and Galaxy vegan smooth orange is good for the chocolate orange dessert).
Nutella Bruschetta
A Trio of Nutella Dessert Bruschetta with Fresh Fruit, Chocolate and Mint
Ingredients
- 1 Large French baguette (cut into 6x 1inch slices)
- 20g Butter
- 75g Nutella
Banana and Crunchie Toppings
- 10g Crunchie chocolate bar (chopped into pieces)
- 6 slices Banana
Raspberry and Mint Toppings
- 4 Fresh raspberries
- 2 Mint sprigs
- 1/4 tsp Icing sugar (to dust)
Chocolate Orange Toppings
- 4 Clementine slices
- 4 Chocolate orange mini segments
- 2 Mint sprigs
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high. Lightly butter each side of the 6 slices of baguette. Place under the grill for 1-1 1/2 minutes per side or until lightly browned. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Spread Nutella evenly across 1 side of each of the 6 slices of baguette.
Banana and Crunchie Bruschetta
- Place the 3 slices of banana in the centre of each slice of bread and sprinkle with the broken Crunchie bar.
Raspberry and Mint Bruschetta
- Place 2 raspberries in the centre of each piece of baguette and place a mint sprig between the raspberries on each bruschetta.
- Lightly dust with icing sugar using a sieve.
Chocolate Orange Bruschetta
- Place 2 clementine segments and 2 chocolate orange segments (alternating between the 2 i.e. 1 clementine segment, then a chocolate segment etc).
- Place a mint sprig on each of the bruschetta in the middle of the segments.
