You may have heard phrases like “You are what you eat” or “You’re the average of the five people you surround yourself with”. Indeed, this is true in all aspects of your life. In other words, you are what you consume and expose yourself to.

Therefore, to live a happy and fulfilling life, you need to be mindful of everything you’re exposed to in your life. You’re not only what you eat and who you spend your time with. But, what you watch, read, listen to, do, and think.

If you want to live your best life and reach your full potential, then you need to start noticing how you’re spending your time. Start becoming mindful of what habits you have, and how your environment is. As well as, how you talk to and treat yourself.

You Are Who You Surround Yourself With

Surround yourself with uplifting and positive people who bring you up. Ensure your circle pushes you to do and be better every day. Stop surrounding yourself with people who don’t have your best intentions at heart and who drag you down. Ultimately, you’re going to waste time being on their level and never reach your goals in life.

If you hang around with draining, negative people with little aspirations in life, then you will start to become the same way. Negative energy is infectious and you are a combination of the people you spend the most time with.

Therefore, surround yourself with positive people who celebrate your wins and push you to pursue your dreams. This will help you to level up in your life and start reaching your goals.

You Are What You Expose Yourself to

Everything that you come into contact with affects your mood, thoughts, and actions. Therefore, you need to be mindful of what you expose yourself to if you want to live a happy and positive life.

You are what you eat, watch, do, read, listen to, etc. Everything you expose yourself to today is shaping what you will become tomorrow. Moreover, if you’re exposing yourself to negativity and things that don’t make you feel good about yourself, they’re ultimately going to bring you down.

Therefore, if you want a positive and happy life then you need to be surrounded by positivity, a good friendship circle, meditation, self-help books, uplifting podcasts, etc.

Become mindful of how you spend your time, how things make you feel, and what you’re getting from all aspects of your life. This will enable you to be able to change things that don’t make you feel good about yourself.

Change your mindset to only expose yourself to things that make you feel good. You will begin to change your world and live the life that you’ve always envisioned for yourself.

Summary

Be mindful of what you eat today. Does it make you feel good about yourself, does it energise you, does it make you feel sluggish, or have you overeaten?

Furthermore, think about your friendships and relationships. Do they make you feel good about yourself, do they uplift you, are the people in your life supportive? Moreover, do they push you to do and be better, are they always there for you, do you feel good when you’re around them?

Question everything that you’re exposed to in your life and start living a life that makes you feel good. Remove anything that doesn’t serve you or make you feel amazing.

You are what you expose yourself to and what you consume. So, make sure you’re living a positive and healthy life by focusing your time and energy on what makes you feel good and alive.

Start removing anything from your life that drags you down and replace old negative friendships or habits with new, exciting, and uplifting ones.
