One of the best things you can do to calm your mind and be in control of your days is to write things down straight away. As soon as they pop into your head, jot them down. It could be something to add to your to-do list or calendar. Or, something you want to get off your chest and into your journal. When you write things down straight away, it’s a great way to stay in control of your thoughts and emotions.
How many times have you forgotten things because you didn’t make a note of them? You thought you’d remember them later on but they are lost forever. Writing things down straight away will ensure you never forget anything. Furthermore, it will ease your mind of anxiety, stress, and worry. You know that you won’t forget them and can concentrate on other things for a while.
Additionally, it frees your brain to concentrate on more important things and helps you to live in the moment. You won’t be constantly stressing about remembering everything you need to do. Furthermore, you could journal about your stresses, worries, and things you need to get done. It’s amazing for your mental health because you’re releasing your negative emotions. When you get them onto paper you free your brain from overthinking and worrying.
Write Things Down Straight Away
When you write things down straight away, it is good for your mental health. It helps to free your brain of clutter and stress. Also, journaling before bed or first thing in the morning, helps you to get your feelings and emotions out. This means you can focus better throughout your day or relieve your mind of stress before bed so you can switch off faster and get a better night’s sleep.
Have a pen and paper or your phone next to you in bed so that you can jot down anything that comes into your head while you’re trying to sleep. This will help to free your mind and allow you to fall asleep more quickly. It will ensure you don’t forget what important idea you had when you were falling asleep because you hardly ever remember things the next morning.
Writing down things straight away not only stops you from forgetting important things but it can help you to get your emotions and thoughts out so you can see things more clearly.
When you free your brain from stressing about everything you have to do or journal about what’s worrying you, it helps you to reach higher levels of thinking and create new ideas because your brain is free to think of more important and creative things.
If you write things down straight away you can see things from a new perspective. You’ll be less emotional and overwhelmed when it’s all out on paper or in the notes section of your phone. Furthermore, it will help you to feel more in control of your life. Making a to-do list that you can tick off helps you to take action and makes you more focused.
Remember
Getting things out of your brain and onto paper can help you to see things from a new perspective. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and stressed out, you can let your emotions out. Then, you can plan how to reach your goals and move forward productively.
Writing down things that pop into your head straight away will help you to become more focused on what you’re doing in the present moment. It gives your brain permission to forget about it for now because it’s going to get taken care of and you’ve made a note of what you need to do.
Instead of feeling stressed and all over the place with your thoughts and emotions, you will feel in control and able to take on anything throughout your day.
Some of your best ideas happen randomly when you’re working on something else or falling asleep. Therefore, writing them down straight away will ensure you won’t miss out on potential opportunities in your life because you’ve forgotten the next day.
It can help you to prioritise or organise your time more effectively because you’ll have everything you need to do written down in front of you instead of spinning around in your head and stressing you out.
