Ingredients
Cupcake Ingredients
- 105g Plain flour
- 35g Cocoa powder
- 100g Caster sugar
- 120ml Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Salt (pinch)
Buttercream Icing
- 600g Icing sugar (sifted)
- 300g Unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp Vanillia extract
- 18 Buttons chocolates
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to gas mark 4/175℃/350℉. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a whisk or electric mixer until smooth and well combined. Place 9 cupcake cases in a muffin tray and fill each case with 2 tbsp of the cake batter. Bake in the centre of the oven for around 15 minutes, until a skewer comes out clean when you prod the centre of the cupcakes. Place on a wire rack to cool fully.
- Meanwhile, beat the icing sugar, butter and vanilla extract together until smooth. Add to a piping bag. Once the cupcakes are cooled, you can pipe icing on top, add the sprinkles and chocolate buttons to create ears. Serve and enjoy.
