Your New Favourite Garlic Bread Recipe

Garlic bread tear-and-share with garlic butter and parsley.

Ingredients
  

  • 400g Strong bread flour
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 7g Dried yeast
  • 250ml Warm milk
  • 25ml Olive oil
  • 100g Butter
  • 4 Garlic cloves (crushed)
  • Bunch Flat leaf parsley (roughly chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar, salt and yeast. Add the milk and olive oil. Mix until well combined. Bring the dough together with your hands and place on a floured work surface. Knead for 10 minutes until soft.
  • Add the dough to a lighlty oiled bowl and cover with cling film. Leave in a warm place for an hour until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Meanwhile, mash the butter and garlic together and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the parsley and mix until well combined. Grease the sides and base of a large cake tin with some of the galric butter.
  • Put the dough onto a floured work surface and knead for a minute. Divide the dough into 10 equal sized dough balls. Arrange them in the cake tin and cover with cling film. Leave in a warm place to prove again for another hour and the balls have joined together.
  • Preheat your oven to gas mark 7/220℃/425℉. Brush the top of the garlic bread with olive oil and half of the garlic butter mixture. Add some sea salt if you like and cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining garlic butter, and enjoy.
